Current projects in Germany and France
A number of major renewables projects are currently being undertaken by our German and
French offices.
- A feasibility study in Kehl, Germany, is investigating the best heating
strategy for a hospital, various public buildings and a number of domestic
dwellings. Biomass and geothermal solutions are being considered for the
provision of 4MWth. Construction is planned for 2009/2010.
- An 850kW biomass system is being planned for a sawmill in Haiterbach, Germany.
- The planning and project management of a wood chip district heating
system in Betschdorf, France, is continuing apace. Various buildings, including
a swimming pool, sports hall, library and retirement home, will be supplied from
a central boiler. Our French office, PER, recently completed the tender process
for the construction phase.
